Funding Application Workshop 
NICVA is running a workshop to help on completing successful funding application swith examples from funders about what you should and should not do. It will help you acquire the skills necessary for all stages of the application process. It takes place on 16 June 2009, 10.00 - 1.00pm at NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast. BT Community Connections 2009 
The scheme targets community and voluntary groups that could benefit from internet access and ICT but don't necessarily have the resources to do so. Through the scheme, community groups can apply for: 
1. A multi-media internet-ready computer.
2. A contribution towards one year's broadband internet access through BT Total Broadband.
3. A Community website.

Promoting positive mental health and wellbeing funding
The Community Development and Health Network, in partnership with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, is pleased to announce a call for applications for a southern area Small Grants Funding Programme for the period 2009/2010 (Sept 2009 - March 2010).
Applications are invited from voluntary and community organisations within the southern area which require funding to support the promotion of positive mental health and wellbeing. The minimum award is £1,500 up to a maximum of £3,000.

Awards for All is now open. This programme aims to bring real improvements to communities and to the lives of people most in need. It will fund projects that involve people in their communities, bringing them together to enjoy a wide range of charitable, community, educational, environmental and health-related activities. Grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available. More information is available on the Awards for All website. 

BIG Secret Millionaire Fund - Small Grants Programme
The Big Lottery Fund and The Secret Millionaire have teamed up to give viewers of the programme a chance to act on the charitable inspiration fuelled by the show. Lottery funding worth £1 million has been lined up for people to apply for, or nominate projects to apply for grants of between £300 and £10,000 from the Secret Millionaire Fund. Groundswell Small Grants
The Groundswell Grant Award Scheme offers anyone with experience of homelessness up to £700 to set up self-help projects or service user involvement initiatives. Groundswell is a national charity. They believe that the only way to tackle homelessness is with the direct involvement of homeless people. They support homeless people to set up their own projects, to get involved in running services and to influence homelessness policy. Anyone with experience of homelessness can apply for an award. They are aiming at new or small projects so you can only apply if your group has an annual turnover that is between £0 and definitely no more than £20,000 each year.
