The BBC’s decision to allow Nick Griffin, BNP leader, to peddle such messages as ‘most people find gays really creepy’ and ‘I was with a KKK member but he was a completely non violent KKK member’, has been met with public outcry.

The airing of Question Time with Nick griffin as a panellist sparked intense debate - Freedom of speech vs. incitement to hatred.

UNISON members in Belfast and Derry recently protested at local BBC offices in opposition to the controversial decision.

As hundreds of anti fascist and anti racist demonstrators gathered at the BBC in Belfast they were confronted by a small crowd of hooded pro-BNP demonstrators brandishing racist paraphernalia.
