A delegation of 7 UNISON young members set off to Croyde Bay in May 2010 to attend the Young members weekend which started with a hard hitting  address from Dave Prentis on what lies ahead for young members working within the public sector.

The weekend  had a full programme with workshops on Developing Young members officers, Cuts in Public services, identifying Green campaigns  to name a few, there were also speakers  on domestic Violence and a motivating speech from the Sodexo workers who were on strike over their Terms and conditions.

An exciting weekend was had by all even though it took the delegation 24 hours to return home due to the Volcanic ash causing flight disruptions.
